The Challenge:
When The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board decided to
change how it collected membership dues from billing brokerage offices
to individual agents, the organization needed a flexible, automated,
web-based solution that would enable it to better manage these
transactions. Since it would be extremely time-consuming for staff to
manually enter individuals' data, the board was looking for a system
that allowed members to manage items, including membership dues and
event registrations on their own. The organization also hoped to allow
members to purchase products and services, such as photography via the
web. To meet these needs, the organization required a solution to manage
its entire online presence and provide members with self-service,
e-commerce and community options, such as membership forums and an
online newsletter. In moving transactions online, the organization also
needed a system that was secure and would help it meet the PCI Security
Standards Council’s standards.
The Solution:
The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board selected iMIS and worked with Authorized iMIS Solution Provider (AiSP) (C) Systems to take
advantage of all the web functions the solution offers. The new software
allowed members to enter all of their personal information, including
credit card data, themselves and pay their dues online. It also enabled
members to register for events, tradeshows and educational classes on
their own, eliminating additional manual work for staff. With one member
database, it would be easier for staff to access and organize
information. Through the use of iMIS, the
board was able to launch an online realty store where members could
easily purchase products and order services, such as client gifts.
The Results:
Since the implementation of iMIS, The
Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board has seen a significant
increase in online activity. At this time, 95% of members are using the
board’s online realty store to buy products, order services and register
for events. With these new online processes, the organization could
dedicate greater attention to its members and their needs. With an
increase in the amount of online credit card transactions, the
organization was required to meet every individual PCI requirement and
pass automated security scans. With iMIS and
the multiple PCI options the software provides, the board has been able
to build upon PCI compliance, ensuring that its online transactions are
secure.
"Through the use of iMIS, our organization
found a convenient way for members to manage items such as dues and
event registrations on their own," said Hilary Morgan, IT Manager at The
Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board. "The software has
provided staff with more time, allowing them to focus their time on
better serving our members and maintaining those relationships." |
